Organizational Structure of Research & Development
The Asahi Group works on research through the operating company R&D organizations and the laboratories of Asahi Quality & Innovations, Ltd. The former are responsible for R&D tied directly to business, such as product development and quality control. The latter work on research topics tied to medium- to long-term corporate growth through the Japanese and overseas operating companies. R&D takes place through collaboration among these organizations.

Hot desking is used in the facility’s office space as a way to promote lively exchanges of information across organizations by letting employees move work locations freely to accommodate their daily work tasks.
The facility is also equipped with Wi-Fi and a comprehensive search system for retrieving various types of information from sources inside or outside Japan. Information needed for R&D work can be gathered at any time and from any location. These features are coupled with employee amenities such as a cafeteria and relaxation room, creating an environment fully equipped to promote nimble thinking.
The facility also actively embraces environmental preservation efforts, and has been certified under the latest international environmental standard (ISO 14001:2015).
