About the Headquarters Building

The Asahi Group headquarters building is a landmark in Tokyo that was completed in 1989. The 22-storey building with its amber glass and white exterior wall at the top, is designed to resemble a beer mug full of bubbles. The adjacent Super Dry Hall was designed by renowned French designer Philippe Starck. The golden object on top of the black building is "Flamme d'Or." It means "golden flame" in French and symbolized the burning spirit of Asahi Breweries toward the new century when it was built.
